iOS 5.1
Apple released iOS 5.1 yesterday, after the media event where it unveiled the new iPad and Apple TV.
Prior to the release, Apple had seeded three beta versions of iOS 5.1 (beta 1, beta 2, beta 3) to developers, however since Apple had not released a beta version for quite sometime (last one was on January 9th), it was widely speculated that Apple was holding it back to announce some major features at the iPad event.
Unfortunately, that didn't happen as there were no surprises. iOS 5.1 brings Japanese support for Siri, a new and easier way to access the camera app from the lock screen, finally the ability to delete a photo from Photo Stream, bugs affecting battery life, redesigned camera app for the iPad and few other bug fixes. And not to forget, iOS 5.1 also magically turns iPhone 4S into a 4G iPhone on AT&T's network.
